So what do I say about myself.....


I'm a down to earth individual who believes in getting value for money, and ensuring that those around me do to. Not a fan of bureaucracy for bureaucracy's own sake.  Mantra: Treat those around you as you would wish to be treated and always strive to do one's best in all endeavours.  Pride in one's work is not a sin where it is built on competence.

Why choose to become Self Employed?


Firstly, I believe my skills have a wider audience.  There are a lot of small companies/sole traders out there that deserve to succeed.  They cannot afford to take someone on as an employee, yet do not have the time to dedicate to the inevitable paperwork.  To utilise the services of a Virtual Assistant, either on an ad-hoc basis or the regular ongoing service, helps their business to grow as well as mine.


Secondly, it is a thing I have been considering for some time. Since the latest recession hit, I have been moving from contract to short term contract and the timing seemed right.  I have always applied myself to any role undertaken as if I was a Director of the company - long hours but without the reward.  Backed by one of my past employers with the promise of an on going contract, it was time for me to broaden my horizons and become that Director!
